Engineering Drawing for moulded, Cast and forged Parts II
What is it?
BS EN ISO 8062-3:2007 covers machining allowances,
general dimensional and geometrical tolerances for moulded and cast components.
A range of tolerance grades are listed, relating tolerances to material, process
and size of the part. The standard can also be used with forged components.
This course is designed to explain the use and application of the standard in an accessible and practical manner.
This half-day course can be provided as an
additional module, integrated with one of our other courses, or as a standalone
course. It works well as an additional module on the
Introduction to Geometrical Tolerancing course.
Who is it for?
Engineers, designers and technicians
involved in the design and manufacture of moulded parts, with an
understanding of the basic elements of geometrical tolerancing.
What does it cover?
- introduction
- tolerance grades for linear dimensions
- surface mismatch
- wall thickness
- datums for general geometrical tolerances
- grades for general geometrical tolerances
- general geometrical tolerance characteristics
- machining allowance
grades
- markings on drawings
